Change

As I look back over the past 20 years, I can not help but notice how many things have changed. Not just me, but society as a whole. When I graduated high school in 1994, there was barely an internet, cell phones were scarce and text messaging was unheard of. When I graduated, my only ambition at the time was dirt track racing. I spent 12 years driving race cars. Now, that life seems a distant memory. I have had great friends come and go, some of them I would have sworn I would have never lost contact with. But I did. I sit here now looking over the past 20 years of my life with some fond memories and some very tragic times I wish I could forget.

I am not looking forward to the next 20 years. Actually, it kinda scares me. Seeing friends I have known since elementary school getting older. Seeing people pass away, but knowing its part of life . I have tried to keep up with technology, but I know it will pass me by and my daughters will have to explain a lot of things to me. But for now I am going to sit back and remember all the great times I have had and hope the Lord blesses me to live long enough to have a lot more.
